Take pride in how far you’ve come. Have faith in how far you can go. But don’t forget to enjoy the journey. ~Michael Josephson

I love how photography allows me to create images that will last decades. Images that will hopefully inspire, make people pause, think, talk, and have a personal introspect on their own art.

Over the time in my career, education, and just personal projects I have heard so many times from people how they don’t think they are creative, or they have run out of ideas, or even worse, don’t have the time for the personal projects or fun that probably originally drew them into photography in the first place. I hope to make this website a place of not only education, but truly a place of creative fun. I want to help photographer’s get ideas to expand their creative tool boxes and create images that push their creative voices.

I started in photography while in high school as a photographer on my high school yearbook staff, and yes, in a darkroom. I earned my Bachelors in Photography from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, while part time running my portrait business. I love that I got to learn so much of the technical part of being a photographer and running a business, but in the end, I took that knowledge I had gained and I came back to where I started~shooting analog photography and education.

When I moved to the Shreveport-Bossier area over ten years ago, I directed my business to commercial, portrait, and fine art photography. This has been a perfect blend of allowing me continual learning, creativity, and fun. Then I decided to continue my education even further. Through the Academy of Art University I earned my Masters of Arts and Masters of Fine Arts in Photography.
