Digital isn’t as cool~Film all the Way!

Honestly, I love film and digital photography. I truly believe they both have their uses, plus I think as artists we should be able to use whatever tools serves our purpose the best. We don’t tell painters that one brush is better than another, we let them use their tools the way they feel inspired to do so. As photographers I could only wish we could build up and support other photographers to create however they are motivated to create. So my images today aren’t the art I am creating, but the tool I am using to do so.

This is my Canon AE-1 that was gifted to me by a dear friend, Paula. It was her father’s camera and she knew I would have a love for using it as he did. The film is from a box of expired film sent to me by a fellow film photographer. It was from his father and had been stored in a family fridge since he past away almost two decades ago. I love the idea of family and how it connects us. I am always honored to use items from other’s dear family members to create my art.

So while today I am not showing the art I am creating ( I will share that after the film is developed) today I share some of the tools I love to use when inspiration hits.
